Action Plan Part 1
Using the Data Overview, I created an Action Plan to address student deficits. This was both useful and challenging. Creating plans that requires the approval of someone else are always a challenge because one will never know which parts of said plan will receive support or approval versus which parts will get rejected by the building administrator.
This activity was useful, and I can see myself using a plan like this as a data or instructional coach. Actually, I can see positive implications for its use as a classroom teacher as well.
Having a comprehensive plan of action that includes research-based strategies, actions, responsible person, resources and budget, expected outcomes, monitoring tools and assessments, and person responsible for monitoring and the date for completion is a valuable tool for one’s teacher instructional toolbox. This type of plan is smarter than a SMART goal- it’s more comprehensive.
